Gstaad Publications is the publishing arm of the Gstaad Project, an open, online-based community aimed at bridging the gap between "we the peoples" of the world and the world's international organizations and intergovernmental entities. Gstaad Publications independently publishes book and research projects sponsored by the Gstaad Project, as well as scholarly and academic titles in the field of international organizations, foreign policy and world affairs.

Gstaad Publications and its parent entity put "we the peoples" of the world at the center and gives them a stronger voice in the international arena. At the same time, it tries to make international and supranational entities – such as the United Nations, the World Bank and NATO – a little more accessible and less intimidating. To this end, Gstaad Publications and the Gstaad Project are open to ideas, editorial contributions, and manuscript submissions from individuals and private entities: the goal is to maintain an open debate on all the issues affecting the international community and to promote tolerance and progress.

Founded in January 2007, the Gstaad Project is an apolitical, non-partisan, and non-religious organization. It promotes social, economic, and cultural diversity with an emphasis on human rights, gender equality and development. The Gstaad Project is not associated to the United Nations, its entities, Agencies, Funds, and Programmes nor to any of the world's international organizations. In order to maintain its independent voice, it is privately run and funded.
